Theme Update

Automatic updates (recommended)

With an active license (see Theme Activation), new versions of Alchemists appear in Dashboard → Updates and Appearance → Themes, like any other theme. Click Update now.

After a theme update, check Appearance → Install Plugins: if the bundled plugins have new versions, they’re listed there with Update Available.

Manual update

  1. Download the latest version of the theme from the Freemius User Dashboard (or your ThemeForest Downloads page).
  2. Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme and upload the theme’s zip file.
  3. WordPress notices that Alchemists is already installed. Click Replace active with uploaded.

FTP update

  1. Download the latest version of the theme and extract the theme’s zip file.
  2. Replace the contents of the /wp-content/themes/alchemists folder of your site with the extracted alchemists folder.

Before updating, make a backup of your site. Changes made directly in the theme’s files are lost with an update; use a child theme for them.
